WHILE IN UNIZIK..

I built a family that I can be proud of. It is just that nowadays, we can only reachout to another by proxy but it is well because I know what we are capable of doing when we're together. 

While in Unizik, I learnt how to stay on my own. It is not because I do not know who to talk to but due to the fact that I had to observe, I remained quiet and paid attention. Beside me were men and women of various professions yet we claimed to be studying Microbiology all in the name of graduating one day and then landing one job or the other some day, which are few by the way. But before that, I make bold to say that some of us had discovered the way out of poverty right on time. After all, we are said to be ubiquitous. So, it does not come as a surprise. 

I once told a colleague of mine that I met one of those days at a Canteen while in school that I respect most of the women in my world and most especially those in my department as at then because they're industrial but he never understood me because he did not seem to understand what concerns studying Microbiology as a course in the university especially in a country such as Nigeria with being an  industrious person but I knew what I was saying because I had studied the people around me. Some of them were Builders, some of them were Teachers, some of them were Business Tycoons, some of them were Writers, some of them were into events coverage, some of them were Pastors, some of them were Student Leaders ( do not be surprised to hear that we have produced a President before and we are more likely to do it again), some of them were Hairstylists, some of them were Bitcoin Traders and some of them were Painters and Website Owners to mention but a few. So, I did not roll with dullards but I minded my business to the best of my ability. 

Looking back now, I can only say that the school environment was just a grooming ground for me and for any one else who knew what he or she went there for in the first place. 

I am not confused; I am the Imiano and I know what I am saying. Blessings can come from anywhere but it is good to know what you can offer because opportunities can come unannounced and you must be prepared to allow them usher you in into the realm of unending impossibilities. That notwithstanding, we came prepared because we passed through the best calibre of Lecturers that the world could have offered as at then.
